Our consultants are in the region and in your timezone, and we are on site when the work calls for it. ERP work runs on access to your people, and that is difficult to sustain from another country on a fly-in schedule.

Sage ERP and Epicor, on-premise and in the cloud, through to Epicor Kinetic. We have moved clients between vendors and through successive generations of the platform, so we can tell you what a version change actually involves rather than what the roadmap says it involves.

A bulk rum producer and exporter with multiple operating sites across three legal entities. After years supporting the group on Sage PFW, Makeyla moved them to Epicor 10 in 2018 and treated the move as a redesign rather than a transfer. Finance, inventory and purchasing now run on one core, and the group consolidates its reporting in the system. More than twenty years, one relationship.

A Jamaican group with retail and distribution businesses, and a Makeyla client since 1999. Makeyla rebuilt its chart of accounts and designed group reporting so the board could see every company in one view. In 2021 Makeyla moved the group from Sage PFW to Epicor Kinetic with that design intact, and in 2024 brought a stalled point of sale live. More than twenty years on the same financial architecture.

Ironrock brought Makeyla in before the company launched. Makeyla recommended cloud, and Ironrock has run Epicor in the cloud since 2016, well ahead of most of the region. Makeyla also integrated its front-end platform directly with Kinetic. As a publicly traded company, Ironrock closes its financial period in under five days.

Makeyla Solutions was founded in 2001 and has been working with Caribbean businesses ever since. The practice started in Jamaica's private sector, with manufacturers, distributors, insurers and financial services firms, and it has grown with them. Along the way we have handled the harder end of the work too: multi-entity groups, multiple currencies, multiple sites, and the reporting obligations that come with regulated industries.
We are an authorised Epicor partner, and our consultants are Epicor Kinetic certified. We have taken clients through Sage ERP and three generations of Epicor, from on-premise environments to Kinetic and Epicor Cloud, and most of them are still with us. Several have been with us for more than twenty years, through new entities, new systems and new versions of the platform.
I started this practice because I kept seeing good businesses make expensive ERP decisions without the right advice in the room. The technology was rarely the problem. The problem was that nobody had asked the business questions first. That is still how we work. I have spent my career on implementations across this region, from manufacturers and distributors to insurers and public sector organisations, and the pattern holds. The projects that succeed are the ones where somebody understood the business before anybody configured anything. I am an Epicor Kinetic certified consultant and hold an MSc in Information Systems and Computing Management from the University of Technology, Jamaica.
